Muslim and Roma cemetery in northern Mitrovica. Across the valley is the artifical dam built from tailings, the toxic remnants from processing of lead and zinc ores at the nearby Trepca mining complex. The dust from toxic tailings is blown by wind down to the city and particularly to the two IDP camps which are located at the bottom of the Ibar river valley. The crest of the dam has been rehabilitated, though after rain puddles still turn red.
